Rectangular Baking Tin and Pastry Frame
The rectangular baking tin is used for preparing cakes, sponge bases and slices that need to keep a regular shape. It also works as a pastry frame, i.e. a border into which creams, jellies or no-bake confectionery can be poured and layered and left to set with clean edges.
The tin is suitable for the home kitchen and for those who bake often and need the same size repeatedly. It is used in the oven in the classic way; after cooling, the finished cake is cut around the edge and the frame is removed from it.
