Cast iron baking dish rectangular with wooden base
This cast iron baking dish measuring 22 × 17 cm with a wooden base is ideal for preparing and impressively serving sizzling dishes straight to the table. Cast iron retains heat excellently, so the food stays hot for a long time. You can use the dish on all hobs including induction, over an open fire, on embers and in the oven and a stove. The wooden base serves solely as a mat – it must not be used for baking or heating.Before first use remove the protective vegetable oil from the dish: wash it in hot water with a neutral detergent, dry it thoroughly, rub it with fat or bacon and heat it up properly. After every use wash the dish with warm water and detergent, dry it and coat it with fat to protect it against corrosion; do not soak the base.
