This kit lets you replace the entire cutting attachment of a small saw in one go. In addition to a new 8 inch guide bar, it contains two saw chains, so when the first one becomes blunt you can carry on working without waiting and sharpen the second one at your leisure at home.
The combination of a 1/4 inch pitch and 47 drive links is typical of small cordless and pruning saws designed for cutting back shrubs, pruning trees and cutting thinner branches. A narrow kerf means less energy drawn from the battery, which extends the saw's runtime per charge.
