Cast iron ring gear for mixer 120l
The ring gear is the part that transfers force from the drive to the drum itself on a building mixer with a capacity of 120 litres. It is precisely this part that is the most heavily stressed during mixing – it works in an environment full of cement dust and abrasive aggregate, so its teeth gradually wear away and the drum starts to skip or to jam.
This ring gear is cast from grey cast iron, which resists abrasion as well as impacts well and at the same time damps the vibration of the drive. With a diameter of approximately 570 mm it replaces the original part exactly and is fixed at the same points, which is why after the replacement the mixer works smoothly again. It pays off for companies and for owners who would rather repair a proven machine than buy a new one.
