The diamonds in the drill bit are cooled with a plant-based coolant inside the drill bit's shaft. During drilling, the cooling liquid escapes through the tip of the drill bit, cooling the diamonds. The coolant is released by rotating the drill bit during drilling and by decreasing the volume in the body of the drill bit.
