Bamboo cutting boards 4pcs with a stand
Four boards, each marked for a different food group – fish, meat, fruit and vegetables and bread – solve what is inevitable with a single board: the transfer of odours and raw residues between ingredients. One board for everything is the worst choice from a hygiene point of view.
Bamboo is more suitable for boards than soft wood: it resists moisture, acts antibacterially, does not absorb odours, does not change colour and does not warp, while it is hard enough not to be cut into deep grooves, yet at the same time it does not spare knife edges the way glass does. The boards are inserted into the stand, so on the worktop they take up only 23,5 x 6,5 x 28,5 cm and they dry in an upright position. One board measures 28 x 20 x 1,2 cm. They will also serve for serving snacks. They are washed by hand, not in the dishwasher.
