Glass and Ceramic Drill Bit 12mm, 1/4" HEX Shank
The glass and ceramic drill bit with a diameter of 12 mm can handle even larger openings, such as you need for tap and pipework passages or when installing heavier holders into tiles. A larger diameter is, however, the riskiest on a brittle material, and this is exactly where a quality drill bit that won't tear out the edges of the hole pays off.
The construction with four sintered tungsten carbide cutting edges distributes the cutting forces evenly, so the bit cuts smoothly and does not create stress in the glass. The precisely ground tip does not slip on the glaze and holds the chosen point even at the start. The hexagonal 1/4" HEX shank ensures firm clamping without spinning in the chuck.
