Glass and Ceramic Drill Bit 5mm, 1/4" HEX Shank
The glass and ceramic drill bit with a diameter of 5 mm is intended for precise drilling into brittle materials, where a classic masonry drill bit would shatter the edges of the hole. It is the size most often used when installing wall plugs in bathroom tiles, so you will appreciate it when hanging holders, mirrors and shelves.
Four sintered tungsten carbide cutting edges ensure high hardness and resistance to abrasion, so the bit lasts considerably more holes than an ordinary two-edge design. The precise tip geometry prevents slipping on the glaze and protects the material from cracking. The hexagonal 1/4" HEX shank holds firmly in a chuck as well as in a magnetic bit holder.
