The extra-long Tvardy metal drill bit is made for every place an ordinary bit simply cannot reach. The overall length of 390 mm and the working length of 265 mm let you drill through thick profiles, through two walls of a structure at once, or in deep cavities where the drill chuck cannot get close to the material.
It is made of HSS high-speed steel, which keeps its hardness even when hot, and the point ground at a 130° angle centers itself, so the bit does not wander across the surface at the start. You will appreciate this especially with harder materials such as structural steel, cast iron or non-ferrous metals. The gold surface finish reduces friction and slows wear on the cutting edge, so the bit lasts considerably more holes.
