Metal Drill Bit 11x110mm with Cemented Carbide Tip
The metal drill bit with a diameter of 11 mm and a cemented carbide tip is intended for where ordinary HSS drill bits quickly lose their edge — in harder structural steel, in hardened material and in parts where many holes need to be made in a row. The YG8 carbide cutting tip has a hardness of around 90 HRA, so it keeps its sharpness considerably longer.
The drill body is made of 40CR steel, the working part measures 65 mm of the total length of 110 mm, and the recommended speed is 1000 – 1500 rpm. Cemented carbide is very hard but brittle, so the drill bit does not belong in hammer mode and must be guided steadily, without side pressure and without tilting. If these rules are followed, it cuts for a long time and without overheating.
