Metal drill bit with carbide tip 12x115mm
The metal drill bit with a sintered carbide tip is intended for drilling in demanding conditions where ordinary HSS bits are no longer enough. The YG8 carbide cutting tip reaches a hardness of 90 HRA, so the tool keeps its edge far longer and drills smoothly even into hard materials. Carbide does not lose its hardness even at higher temperatures, thanks to which the cutting stays stable under greater load too.
The body of the bit is made of 40CR steel, the overall length is 115 mm and the working part measures 68 mm. The recommended speed is 1000 to 1500 revolutions per minute. Sintered carbide is a very hard but brittle material, so do not use the tool for hammer drilling and work with stable guidance and a moderate feed. It is suitable for locksmith's workshops, machine maintenance and for more demanding home handymen.
