Metal drill bit with sintered carbide tip 5x70mm
The drill bit with a diameter of 5 mm is fitted with a sintered carbide cutting tip, which keeps its edge even in materials that quickly destroy an ordinary HSS bit. A hardness of 90 HRA means exceptional resistance to wear and stability even at the higher temperatures arising during drilling.
The body of the bit is made of 40CR steel, which gives the tool the necessary strength. The recommended speed is 1000 to 1500 rpm — carbide is very hard but brittle, so the bit tolerates impacts and lateral stress poorly. It is suitable for drilling hardened and tempered metal in the workshop, in the locksmith's shop and during maintenance.
