Step Drill HSS M2 4-12mm
The step drill with a diameter of 4 – 12 mm is made of high-quality HSS M2 tool steel with a TiAlN coating. The drill is stepped in 1 mm increments, features a cylindrical shank, and has legible step markings. It is designed for precise drilling into metal, thin-walled steel sheets, and plastics. The M2 steel is premium tungsten-molybdenum tool steel used for creating cutting tools of high precision. It is characterized by excellent cutting properties – molybdenum improves hardenability, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance, while tungsten increases wear resistance. As a result, the drill retains its sharpness significantly longer than standard HSS drills. The TiAlN surface coating (titanium and aluminum nitride) allows for effective drilling even into hard-to-machine materials where the drill is exposed to high temperatures or limited cooling. This coating significantly extends the drill's service life and allows for higher cutting speeds. The drill is packed in packaging with a hanging hole, making storage and handling easier.
