Step drill HSS M2 4-32mm
The step drill with a diameter of 4 – 32 mm is made from high-quality high-speed steel HSS M2 with a TiAlN surface coating. The drill is stepped every 2 mm, has a cylindrical holder and clearly readable step markings. It is designed for precise drilling into metal, thin-walled steel sheets, and plastics. M2 steel is a premium tungsten-molybdenum tool steel used in the production of high-precision cutting tools. It is characterized by excellent cutting properties – molybdenum improves hardenability, impact and corrosion resistance, while tungsten increases wear resistance. Thanks to this, the drill remains sharp significantly longer than standard HSS drills. The TiAlN surface layer (titanium and aluminum nitride) enables efficient drilling even in difficult-to-machine materials, where the drill is exposed to high temperatures or limited cooling. This coating significantly extends the drill's lifespan and allows for higher cutting speeds. The drill is packed in packaging with a suspension hole, which facilitates storage and handling.
