Step Drill HSS M2 4-39mm
The step drill with a diameter of 4 – 39 mm is made from high-quality HSS M2 high-speed steel with TiAlN coating. The drill is stepped at every 3 mm, with cylindrical shank and easy-to-read scale indications. It is designed for precise drilling into metal, thin-walled steel sheets and plastics. M2 steel is a premium tungsten-molybdenum tool steel used in the manufacture of cutting tools with high precision. It features excellent cutting properties – molybdenum improves toughness, impact and corrosion resistance, while tungsten increases wear resistance. As a result, the drill retains its sharpness significantly longer than standard HSS drills. The TiAlN surface coating (titanium and aluminum nitride) allows effective drilling even into difficult-to-machine materials, where the drill is exposed to high temperatures or limited cooling. This coating significantly extends the lifespan of the drill and allows for higher cutting speeds. The drill is packaged in a hanging hole packaging, which facilitates storage and handling.
