Lid for Preserving Jars Diameter 89mm 6-Lug RTS White


The white RTS lid with a diameter of 89 mm and a six-lug thread is the most common closure for preserving jars in the household. It is made of lacquered sheet metal and on the inside it is complemented by a sealing layer, which after processing creates an airtight joint. The six lugs make it possible to close the jar with a short turn and at the same time spread the pressure evenly along the rim of the neck. The neutral white colour is a suitable background for your own labels.

You will use the lid for compotes, preserved vegetables, jams, sauces and also for storing dry supplies. Fit it onto a clean and dry rim of the jar and after sterilisation let the contents cool down slowly. Once cooled, the bent centre of the lid confirms that a vacuum has been created and that the contents are correctly sealed.
