A French press is the simplest way to make coffee or loose-leaf tea without capsules, filters and electricity – you pour it in, add water, wait and press the plunger down.
The advantage over tea bags is that the leaves or ground coffee have enough room in the water to infuse fully, so the drink is more pronounced.
