Hone Head Stones 28x6mm
Replacement honing stones sized 28 x 6 mm are designed for a hone head. They are used for honing combustion engine cylinders as well as hydraulic cylinders, where they create the required cross-hatch pattern on the cylinder wall that retains the oil film and helps new piston rings bed in correctly.
Honing stones are a consumable material and wear down gradually during work, so it pays to have a spare set on hand. Replacement is a matter of a moment, and with new stones the head again works with the original removal rate and even results.
