Honing Stones 19–63mm, 3pcs
Honing stones are replacement abrasives for a cylinder honing head. In an engine overhaul, it is honing that decides how well the new piston rings seat - it creates a fine cross-hatch pattern on the cylinder wall that holds an oil film and allows the rings to bed in properly.
The set contains three stones measuring 28 x 6 mm, which simply slide into the head and lock in place. The abrasive is applied to a metal backing, which guarantees stable seating and even pressure along the entire length of the stroke. The stones are intended for honing heads with a working range of 19 to 63 mm, so they cover the cylinders of motorcycle engines, compressors and brake wheel cylinders. They are useful in an engine workshop, in car servicing and for the home mechanic.
