Blanking Cap for Hydrant Fire Coupling 4"
The blanking cap closes the hydrant coupling when no hose is connected and protects its interior from dirt, small stones and damage to the lugs. At the same time, it prevents unwanted water leakage if the line is under pressure, which is important during shutdowns and when the system is taken out of service for the season.
This is the four-inch size used in large fire and construction water systems. Fitting and releasing is the same as with a standard coupling, so handling takes a few seconds even with gloves on. The part belongs to the standard equipment of hydrant assemblies, pumping stations and construction water systems where couplings are frequently connected and disconnected.
