Glass Demijohn 20l in a Protective Plastic Basket
The glass demijohn with a capacity of 20 litres in a protective basket is basic equipment for the home production of wine, beer and liqueurs. The thick-walled glass does not react with the contents, does not take on odours or tastes and lets you keep track of how the fermentation is progressing. The sturdy plastic basket protects the glass against knocks, increases the stability of the vessel and makes handling easier even when the demijohn is full. You will appreciate the large capacity when processing bigger batches of fruit.
The demijohn serves for the fermentation itself as well as for the subsequent maturing and storage of the finished drink in the cellar or the pantry. The classic shape of the neck makes it possible to combine it with common winemaking accessories, which you buy separately. Once emptied, all the glass needs is to be washed with warm water and left to dry thoroughly.
