The plier wrench for oil filters eases one of the most annoying operations during an oil change. The jaws grip the body of the filter around its whole circumference and clamp it firmly, so you loosen the filter without slipping and without damaging it. The tool is intended for external oil filters with a metal body, such as you will come across in passenger and also utility vehicles.
The construction bent at an angle of 20° makes it possible to get even to filters placed deep in the engine compartment, where a straight wrench would not have enough space for turning. The working range from 63,5 to 116 mm covers a large part of commonly used filters, so one tool replaces several size-bound wrenches. The body is made of quality steel resistant to intensive use and the ergonomic handle gives good control over the force when releasing a seized filter. It is useful in a car service, in a tyre service and also in a home garage.
