Fire blanket 1,2x1,8m of glass fibre
The fire blanket serves for quickly extinguishing smaller fires by cutting off their access to air. It belongs to the basic fire protection equipment, which should not be missing in a household, in a workshop, in a catering business, in a company or in a vehicle. The use is simple and even a person without training will manage it, which is decisive during a fire. The size of 1,2 × 1,8 m makes it possible to cover larger objects too.
The blanket is made of glass fibre throughout its whole volume, therefore it is non-flammable, resistant to high temperatures and does not melt when heated. It creates an effective insulating barrier, which prevents the flames from spreading to surrounding objects. It comes in handy with burning cookware, small appliances and with a fire in the kitchen. In an extreme situation it can also serve to protect a person from flames.
