Tvardy 40/40 Cylinder Lock, Nickel
The Tvardy 40/40 cylinder is a replacement lock core for interior and exterior doors. You can replace it yourself in a few minutes — you just loosen one screw in the lock face — so you do not have to replace the whole set of hardware when a key is lost or the old mechanism starts to bind.
The cylinder body is made of aluminium, so it is light yet durable, and the pin-tumbler mechanism itself is made of brass, which guarantees smooth operation even after thousands of turns. The manufacturer rates it for 50 000 cycles, which also covers heavily used office doors. The brushed nickel finish matches both modern and classic hardware and copes better with minor scratches. The package contains three keys and a fixing screw.
