System Crimping Pliers for MC4® Evo 2 connectors KNIPEX
The system crimping pliers are adapted for crimping contacts of MC4 EVO 2 solar connectors with cross-sections of 4, 6 and 10 mm². They have an enlarged gripping range, so they can also handle 10 mm² contacts, which are the standard in large photovoltaic installations. The crimping dies for MC4 EVO 2 contacts are pre-fitted, and a locator for precise positioning of the connector is also included in the delivery. With further crimping dies and locators from the 97 49 xx series, they become a single tool for nearly 1,000 types of connectors and contacts.
The almost parallel movement of the crimping dies guarantees an optimum crimping result, and the forced lock according to IEC 60352 reliably ensures consistent connection quality. The crimping pressure is precisely set (calibrated) at the factory and can be fine-adjusted. The lever transmission multiplies the force, so the work is not tiring. The tool body is made of high-quality chrome vanadium electric steel, oil-hardened. The 97 49 xx crimping dies are not compatible with the MultiCrimp 97 33 01/02/03 pliers; an additional locator 97 49 71 1 is available for all solar connectors of the MC4 series.
