A foil sack for cabbage measuring 80x80 cm and with a volume of 60 l is suitable for smaller barrels and containers. It serves as a liner thanks to which the fermented cabbage does not touch the walls of the container and the barrel stays clean inside. The smaller volume of 60 l suits households that pickle smaller quantities.
After the season it is enough to simply take out the sack and rinse the barrel with water, so laborious washing of the whole container is done away with. At the same time the foil limits the access of air to the surface of the cabbage during fermentation. You will also use the sack for short-term storage of other vegetables or small material.
