Bent Feeler Gauge 0,127–0,508mm, 16-Blade
A feeler gauge with sixteen blades covers a range of 0,127 to 0,508 mm, that is, exactly those clearances that are most often set and checked in car, motorcycle and mechanical engineering work — valve clearance, spark plug electrode gap or axial play of shafts.
The blades are bent, which is the main advantage of this design: the angled ends reach into tight spots in the engine where a straight feeler gauge either would not get in or could not be read. The material is 65Mn spring steel, which returns to its original shape after being extended and does not deform. The values are in millimetres and each blade is marked directly on the blade itself.
