Tvardy Long Impact Socket 1/2" 13mm 6-Point CR-MO
The Tvardy 13 mm long impact socket is intended for nuts seated on a longer bolt or recessed deeper in a hole. An ordinary short socket does not sit fully on such a nut, slips and risks rounding off its edges — a long socket grips it along its full height and transmits the torque safely.
The six-point profile sits on the flats of the nut, not on its corners, so it withstands higher torque and damages the fastener less than a twelve-point socket. The material is high-grade chrome-molybdenum steel (CR-MO), which is built for impact loads: it absorbs vibration and keeps its hardness under repeated blows, whereas ordinary chrome-vanadium steel cracks under such a load. A hole in the body allows the socket to be secured with a locking pin, which is handy when working at height.
