Gear set for angle grinder G80800
The gear set transfers the speed from the motor shaft to the spindle of the Geko G80800 angle grinder and in doing so changes the direction of rotation by 90°. It is the most heavily stressed mechanical part of the machine – it works at high speed, in dust and under side loading from the disc, so after a time the teeth wear away and the grinder starts to hum, to vibrate or to lose power.
This replacement set contains the pinion as well as the crown wheel, which are always changed as a pair so that they keep the correct mesh. The parts correspond dimensionally to the original and are fitted into the original gearbox housing without modification. Replacing the gear set is a routine service operation with which a proven grinder returns to operation for a fraction of the price of a new tool.
