Die M10x1,25mm Fine Thread, HSS DIN 223
A thread die is a tool for hand cutting and restoring external threads with a fine M10 x 1,25 mm pitch. These fine threads turn up very often in car workshops — on studs, special bolts, tie rods or hydraulic fittings — and when a thread gets damaged, the die can usually save it without having to replace the whole part.
The tool is made of HSS high-speed steel, which keeps the sharpness of its cutting edges and resists abrasion even when working with harder steels. The chip-clearance holes prevent clogging and galling, so the cut stays clean along the whole length of the thread. The die complies with DIN 223 and fits ordinary hand die stocks dimensionally, so you can put it into a holder you probably already have in the workshop.
