Die M8x1,0mm HSS DIN 223
The M8x1,0 mm die comes in handy whenever you need to cut a new external fine thread or repair one that was damaged during disassembly. Instead of hunting for a replacement part, you simply run the die over the thread and the screw or pin moves easily again without seizing.
The die is made of HSS high-speed steel, which keeps its sharpness even when working with structural and alloy steel, and it complies with the DIN 223 standard. The chip holes reliably carry away swarf, so the cut stays clean. The fine thread with a 1,0 mm pitch resists vibration better and allows more precise adjustment of parts, which is why it is widely used in cars, hydraulics and mechanical engineering. You clamp the die into a standard die stock.
