Set of Hand Fine-Thread Taps M8x1,0mm, 2pcs
The set of two hand taps is designed for cutting and repairing internal M8 threads with a fine pitch of 1,0 mm. A fine thread is used where a joint must resist vibration better or where the position of a part needs to be adjusted more precisely - typically in engines, gearboxes and thin-walled structures.
The taps work in two steps: the first pre-cuts the thread and the second finishes it to the final size. This approach gives a more accurate profile, a cleaner thread surface and spares the tool itself. They are made of HSS high-speed steel, which resists wear even with intensive use, and they comply with the DIN 2181 standard. They cope with structural and alloy steel, non-ferrous metals, cast iron and selected plastics.
