The ESD plastic tweezers angled at 45° with pointed tips and a tip width of 0.4 mm are designed for gentle handling of sensitive electronic components, micromechanical parts as well as glass and ceramic components. They are made of plastic reinforced with 30 % carbon fibres, which is both electrically and thermally conductive and highly resistant to abrasion and scratching. They provide maximum protection for the surface of the gripped parts.
A surface resistance of 10^2 to 10^4 ohms ensures controlled equalisation of potential differences between the user and the electronic components, so the tweezers are safe for components sensitive to electrostatic discharge. The material is temperature-stable up to 130 °C and can withstand up to 190 °C for short periods. It is elastic, fatigue-resistant, vibration-damping, water-repellent and highly resistant to most oils, greases, fuels and non-polar solvents.
