The straight ESD plastic tweezers with blunt tips and a tip width of 2 mm are designed for gentle handling of sensitive electronic components, micromechanical parts as well as glass and ceramic components. They are made of plastic reinforced with 30 % carbon fibres, which is both electrically and thermally conductive and highly resistant to abrasion and scratching. They provide maximum protection for the surface of the gripped parts.
A surface resistance of 10^2 to 10^4 ohms ensures controlled equalisation of potential differences between the user and the electronic components, so the tweezers are safe for components sensitive to electrostatic discharge. The material is temperature-stable up to 130 °C and can withstand up to 190 °C for short periods. It is elastic, fatigue-resistant, vibration-damping, water-repellent and highly resistant to most oils, greases, fuels and non-polar solvents.
