StepCut Cable Shears 160mm, VDE KNIPEX
The StepCut cable shears, only 160 mm long, are small, lightweight and yet powerful. The stepped cutting edge cuts the wires gradually one after the other, which makes cutting up to 40 % easier than with conventional cable shears of the same length. They cut multi-core stranded copper and aluminium cables up to 15 mm in diameter (50 mm²) and solid copper and aluminium cables up to 5 × 4 mm², without crushing.
The insulated multi-component handles are tested to VDE, so the shears are intended for live work up to 1000 V. The precise and durable screw joint ensures smooth operation and the pinch protection protects the fingers. The cutting edges are additionally induction-hardened to approx. 56 HRC and the shears are chrome-plated. They are not intended for steel wire or hard-drawn copper conductors.
