StepCut XL Cable Shears with Step Cut 225mm, VDE (blister pack) KNIPEX
The 225 mm StepCut XL cable shears cut considerably more easily than compact cable shears thanks to the high leverage joint, long handles and optimised cutting edges. They handle solid copper and aluminium conductors up to 35 mm², stranded conductors up to 70 mm² and fine-stranded conductors up to 120 mm². They have two cutting zones: the stepped edge holds smaller and larger cables close to the joint, and the front edge cuts through very thick cables step by step. They can be operated with one or both hands, and even with large diameters only a small handle opening is needed.
The adjustable high leverage screw joint ensures a precise and smooth cut, and the cutting edges are additionally laser hardened to approx. 56 HRC. The slim head makes access to the conductors easier and the anti-pinch protection protects your fingers. The insulated multi-component handles are VDE tested, so the shears are suitable for work on live equipment up to 1000 V. The shears are not suitable for steel-reinforced cables, such as type ACSR.
