Timing Locking Tool Set for Opel, Alfa Romeo and Fiat CDTi JTD Engines
The timing locking tool set secures the camshaft and crankshaft in the exact position while replacing the timing chain or belt. Without correct locking there is a risk of the timing shifting and, when working on diesel engines, even of the valves contacting the pistons, which is why this is a tool without which the repair should not be started.
The set is designed for Vauxhall and Opel 1.9 CDTi engines and Alfa Romeo 1.9 JTD engines in 8V and 16V versions and 2.4 JTD 10V and 20V, i.e. for units with the codes Z19DT, Z19DTH, Z19DTJ and Z19DTL. It is used in car workshops as well as for home repairs where the manufacturer's workshop procedure is available.
